Today we fast. My flesh is complaining. It is only water until dinner time and then I will break my fast with a cup of homemade chicken soup.
Tomorrow I will be flying out of country on a mission’s trip. Today I am preparing my spirit to listen closely to the Father’s voice while I am away from my normal routine.
Prayer is a vital part of fasting. We take time from food to feed on the Word. The flesh is disciplined and we practice self-control by denying the need to chew.
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;”—Psalm 34:8
Today I am praying for you.
I am praying for my trip—safety, and open doors to minister
I am praying for my children who will stay behind, and their grandmother who is keeping them.
What are you praying for today?
"I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."--Matthew 17:20-21
